Antique Market Finds. . .

sorry for poor quality photo but I just wanted to do a quick Flea Market Find to add to Sophie's list.  Yesterday hubby and I went to an antique fair in Mont Albert and i managed to buy a heap of unfinished embroidery, some almost complete, some not even started yet, and a pile of white hankies.  did some washing and ironing in the afternoon, and now I have a pile sitting in the lounge room awaiting my attention to list on eBay.  Just need the good camera to finish its charging!

I have also set myself some Goals for the coming week to get my eBay and Market Stall items sorted, into tubs so I can find what I'm looking for (and so I can find the bed which I think is still in the spare room, but I can't see it!!!)

Hope you all have a great week, and pop over to Flea Market Finds, more things added every day you know.. so much to see.

  7. Such dainty hankies and far too pretty for nose blowing!

p.s. now I feel guilty for not posting tea towel pic and no Lyndel, there was not one tea towel to be had at the jumble sale...I did buy two pretty tablecloths though x

  8. Aaaghh!!! (that was a squeal of envy) Oh Lyndel, I do hope we can meet up soon. I would love to see your linens, and would love to show you my collection. As much as I would like to have been at that antique fair and seen those items, I would not be buying any because of our financial situation. But I still love to look! I have two or three friends who like me, have collected linen over the years and we get together occasionally to drool over our vintage beautifuls, but we don't buy any more because we have so much now!
Thank you for your comments about my Pantry wall hanging! As for cutting up old embroidered cloths, you're recycling in the best way!

  9. Ohh, they're so pretty! Wish I'd made it to the antique fair. I've just sent off an application for the North Melbourne market! It's thanks to you that I know about it. I'm moving out of my house that I used to share with Hayden into a tiiiiiny flat, so I'm going to have A LOT to sell! Perhaps I will meet you there if you have a stall too :)

  10. Those lace hankies are divine and would make great gifts for brides being married with the "Something old .." bit! (Something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue).
