what a mess !

I have just been reading a few blogs while I have a cup of tea (or 2), and everyone seems to have been crafting, or out eating, drinking, walking in the country, and I am here making messes everywhere.
Now that I have decided to try to do at least One Market a month, and still sell on eBay, I have a few plans for a little Storage Studio (more about that another day, I hope)
First up, I used the lovely sunny days to wash and iron a few recent retro clothing purchases. Then I sorted my clothes into Summer / Winter jumpers cardigans / Blouses & Shirts / Coats and Jackets.  Then I bagged them into hanging garment bags on racks in the garage for the time being.
That went very smoothly, so I unpacked a few tubs and suitcases and sorted ... Household Linen, Buttons and Laces, Fabrics, gloves, hats, handbags ... you get the idea..
Next I have to put them away neatly,... tomorrow maybe!

I had so much stock, bits here, bits there, so I had no overview of how many Tea Towels or how much fabric I have.  By the end of this week I will have it all under control.  Then I need to work on the Storage Studio idea..

Stay tuned.

  1. What a great idea Lyndel. I am lucky that I have 4 sheds and a studio/flat to house my bits and pieces that I don't want to look at all day. It's amazing how much we accumulate isn't it? Like you, I have been doing none of the above, just relaxing :) Have a great week, Tam x

  2. This is a great idea. I am coming to the same conclusion that to be more productive I need to be a tad more organised.

  4. On ya girl! You have inspired me. I cannot walk into my studio without risk of breaking my neck! It is chock-a-block! As soon as I get some time...
Oh by the by, make that two sales within the first 24 hours. Perchance I put them too cheap? More than likely it will be my only sales of the month.

  7. Lyndel you sound so organised. I'm not and thats why I buy stuff instead of selling it LOL. Maybe one day I will manage to sort all my treasures and let go of things I don't truly love anymore.:)

  9. Instead of dragging all your goodies around, why don't you simply open up your own online store? Sort of Lyndel's Own eBay, lol! I've seen a few people do it, and it works well, as so many more people see your 'stock' instead of just the ones who find you at a market.

  10. Hi Lyndel, you have sorted out loads, I love sorting and clearing out cupboards and wardrobes and my fabric stash etc, I find it really cathartic! Good luck with your Market, If I lived in your area (country) I'd def come! Bx

  12. I'm with Nick, Ebay stalking is a must!

I wish I could say I was inspired by your post, but it just makes me feel guilty, my 'room' is an absolute disgrace, I should probably take your example and go clean it........but I just can't be bothered, lol
